The Oregon Coast

We drove into the Columbia River Gorge which is a very scenic drive. However, we were fighting a 35 mph headwind all the way. So, I grabbed the steering whee; with a death grip and grimly drove on. Beth enjoyed the scenery though. Beth suggested we take a small detour on "historic Highway 30" to see the waterfalls you see here. They were really great except the road was never designed for motorhomes. So, that was anoth interesting adventure. As we always say, "It is the journey not the destination ". We finally arrived at Nehalem Bay State Park, near Nehalem, Oregon, on Wed., Aug. 31st.
