We are staying in Chico, CA tonight on our way to Yosemite National Park. We stayed with our good friends , Bill & Kathy in southern Oregon. They as always were very generous. It has been too many years since we had seen them last. We then drove to Crater Lake Nat. Park. We took the trolley ride around the lake. It was very cool there. The campsite as you can see is one of the tightest ones we have ever stayed in. We then headed south on Sept. 14th. We stopped at Lava Beds National Monument in northern California. The picture of the road shows they need some funding. We then drove to Lassen Volcanic National Park, This is a truly beautiful place. It even has bubbling mud pots like Yellowstone.
